I was initially planning on having a gender reveal party for our third pregnancy to follow our 20 week scan. However, after being told at our 12 week scan that there was an 80% chance it was going to be another boy I decided to change it to an “Oh Boy, It’s a Boy!” celebration with our friends and family.
The idea was that we would then confirm the gender at the party and be able to celebrate our third pregnancy. I’ll also be having a baby shower later on (around 34 weeks) but this will only be with my close girl friends and mum & mum in law. This party was for the purpose of having everyone that is close to both of us and our family there to celebrate another life in the making.
I chose a teal blue, light blue, gold and silver colour theme with the addition of black and white in the form of silhouettes and blackboard/chalk. All the food for the desserts was a freckle theme, as that’s our little bubs nickname.
It was a lunch time party, so I provided mini slider burgers, mini hotdogs and small serves of oven baked, crumbed fish & chips. There were also finger foods such as sushi (I made myself) and kabana, crackers, dip etc. For the kids there were the old party favourite of cheerios and tomato sauce. This has been one of my favourite parties and everyone seemed very satisfied with the food
Here are all the photos of the dessert table, food and decorations.
