Since Christmas is on a Tuesday this year we decided that we would spend the weekend before Christmas with Gran, Granddad and Uncle Regan in Toowoomba to save them the drive and back on Christmas Day. Generally we would all get together at our house, but this year it will just be Nanny and Poppy joining us, which means two Christmas celebrations for us!
It was a great opportunity to take Mummy’s new car (her Christmas present!!) for a big drive too. This weekend is also Gran and Granddad’s 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary which is another reason we wanted to go and celebrate with them. What a wonderful milestone! We had a little plan for the weekend but of course it was very relaxed and if things happened to change then we would just go with the flow.
We decided that Saturday would be present day as Sunday was Gran and Granddad’s anniversary. Here are some photos of Addi opening his Christmas presents in Toowoomba.
While in Toowoomba we decided to go and check out the Christmas Lights display in Queens Park. Unfortunately I didn’t take the camera as it was raining a little and I wanted to make sure I could look after the boys properly. It is a shame as the lights were absolutely dazzling. It is one thing that I love and miss about Toowoomba. I don’t believe they have anything like this on the Gold Coast. The community spirit in Toowoomba is just wonderful!
