After a fun filled week away we are back into the swing of everyday life at home, and today I am 31 weeks pregnant. Tonight we also have our antenatal class, which is technically class four after missing one while we were away last week.
Last weeks class was speaking about emergency intervention and cesarean sections, there is a DVD that I will borrow tonight and have been promised that any information will be posted to me on what we missed. We have a different midwife taking the class tonight as the lady that did the first few classes has now gone on a holiday herself to the UK. We will also have a different midwife taking over for her the following week.
My only major complaint at this stage of the pregnancy is the on going back/hip pain I faced last week and also some swelling in my ankles and feet. The back pain seems to go away during the day and is at its worst of a morning after having laid down all night. Despite sleeping on my side I still wake up and struggle to walk on my visits to the bathroom during the night and when I rise for the day. It eventually gets easier as the day goes on, but unfortunately does slow me down quite a lot.
If it doesn’t get better over the next few weeks I may consider having a pregnancy massage to see if that can relieve some of the pressure and strain on my body.
