After my doctors visit yesterday and being referred to Dr Benjamin Bopp I had to book my first appointment with him. The Obstetrician apparently likes to have your first visit at 8 weeks, therefore my appointment has been booked for 16th March where I meet both him and the midwife. I’ve heard nothing but good reports about him so very much looking forward to meeting him.
I was also told by the receptionist when booking my appointment that I had to book in for my NT Scan (Nuchal Translucency Scan – after some quick searching on google). This test is done anywhere from 11 to 13 weeks and along with another blood test is an early indicator for downs syndrome. This test only estimates the risk, it is not a definite diagnosis. So I have also booked for this and will have the NT Scan done on 20th April.
Today I am 5 weeks pregnant, which also means that organs are begining to form.
