August is always a busy month as we celebrate two birthdays (Daddy and Gran). It’s usually this time of year that we spend a weekend away together, as a mini holiday. This month we went to the Sunshine Coast for our little family trip. This was a rather special road trip this time.
On Charles’ birthday we picked up our brand new JCW Mini Countryman and took it on it’s first big drive.
On our way to the Sunshine Coast we hit some major delays. As it turns out there was a massive bushfire, we had to drive right past it (it was on the other side of the road). Lots of smoke, lots of fire engines and rescue workers and lots of flames! The boys were a little nervous, and we all couldn’t wait to arrive at our hotel. When we did we decided to grab a bite at the RSL. During the weekend we visited Australia Zoo and we also went strawberry picking at the strawberry farm, which is always a lot of fun!!
We also had a visit from Gran and we celebrated her birthday together with cake. Let them eat cake!!!
