Everytime Addi pulls one of his silly faces it reminds me of the good ol’ saying “If you pull that face, the wind will change, and you’ll be stuck like that.” Just one of those funny little sayings that we tell little kids when we want them to stop doing something. It’s up there with the all time favourites of “Don’t sit too close to the tv or you’ll eyes will go square” and “If you eat your crusts your hair will go curly.” Where on earth do they come up with these things?!? Have you got a favourite to tell your kids?
When I was in primary school I can remember being read the book “When the Wind Changed” by Ruth Park. Maybe I’ll have to get this one for Addi.
