Today we decided to have a family road trip. The destination… Byron Bay! We really should have thought this through a little better though. We may have forgotten it was a long weekend! Yes, we decided to do a drive to a well known camping/hippy town on a long weekend!!! To say it was a slow trip into town would be an understatement!
I’m so very lucky that we didn’t end up with a Byron Baby being so close to my due date. Not sure I would have wanted my third son to be born in NSW, and Byron of all places! He’s already got a flower child name hehehe.
I will give Byron this, it sure is beautiful! The views were amazing and certainly worth the drive. We went to the lighthouse. One little problem however with this laidback destination, they don’t seem to believe in using eftpos or credit cards!!! We were all starving by the end of it as we couldn’t buy lunch anywhere since we didn’t have cash. After finally feeding the hungry, cranky lady, we let the kids have a play in the park and headed for home.
Back over the border we are now safe if I go into labour!
