Today we had a family day after Daddy had to work yesterday. First we went to the Sunday markets at Coolangatta where we got some yummy boysenberry home made jam, an ear tag beanie for Addi and some treats for Mummy and Daddy (a chocolate covered marshmallow stick for me and a white chocolate giant freckle for Daddy – which we ate in the car on the way home).
We then got some things together to go out and have a picnic lunch in the park. This is something we like to do together as a family and with friends, it’s always nice to get out of the house and spend some time outdoors. We grabbed some bits and pieces from the grocery store to make burgers on the park bbq. There was a huge birthday party happening in the park (we will be doing the same thing for Addi in a few months time – but not that big!!) so we didn’t get a table, but set up on our picnic rug which was just fine with us.
First things first was a nappy change…Addi had an accident so it meant a complete outfit change too! He sure does have his nappy change in strage places, this time in the park on a picnic rug hehe. Once we had that sorted, Addi and Mummy had some play time while Daddy cooked the lunch. We had a lovely time, it was a little nippy from the wind but a beautiful day regardless.
