It’s that time of year again, the time that is just so magical and we try to cram every event we possibly can into a few short weeks! One of those events is Movie World’s White Christmas. We have made it a little bit of a tradition over the last few years and one that we really enjoy. I just love watching the look on the kids faces when they see the lights and the street parade.
This year Preston is finally at an age to really enjoy what’s going on. Last year he tortured me through dinner as I tried to get him to settle to sleep in the pram (unsuccessfully) and eat my dinner. This year was Jasper’s turn to keep me from my meal! I juggled feeding him and myself in true Mummy style. It wasn’t so bad though At least he was happy to just feed and didn’t fight me like Preston had. We all had a lovely time eating our buffet Christmas dinner. The food was amazing as usual (I would highly recommend it) and a real treat for the season.
We actually missed the turning on of the lights, but enjoyed them nevertheless. They really are breathtaking. We bought both the kids light fan twirly things to keep them occupied during the wait for the parade (best idea ever). Preston was mesmerised by his! When the parade started they just loved it. You could see the pure excitement on Addi’s face as he watched the floats go past. Then of course Santa was a big hit!
Here are the photos from our night as a family, with Nanny and Poppy.
