As the title says, Boxing Day 2015 was my saving grace. It restored some hope into my holiday season. As you can see from the photos I was at least feeling a little better and could participate in the family fun.
Boxing Day should have actually been renamed to Lego Building Day.. at least at our house! This is my way of taking it easy. But you know what, if it wasn’t for the unspeakable illness that occurred yesterday for me then the day would have been perfect. My presents were perfect. Everyone had managed to give me all these wonderful things that were exactly what I’d wanted (some for quite some time).
For me one of these much longed for gifts was what I was working on today. My Lego Pirate Ship! Oh how I longed for this as a little girl, this magnificent Pirate Ship. Addi and Prez of course got their fair share of Lego (and Daddy for that matter)…. ok let’s just say we should have shares in Lego, the boxes were piled high with glorious models to build! And build we would!!! Addi and I sat side by side at the kitchen bench, reading our instructions and creating our models. It was wonderful!
Once the Lego building was done for the day it was time for some afternoon slip n slide. More new toys to test out! I didn’t get wet… not quite that recovered for slip n slide! Instead I was able to capture the fun on camera. The look on their faces as they splashed around was priceless. Jasper had a ball and even gave the big kids slide a go. He loved it the little daredevil!
What a great time they had Melissa – really enjoyed these photos.
