After visiting mum and dad on the weekend I picked up a box of books that I had when I was growing up. They have been sitting out in the shed in a box for a few years now since mum and dad moved house, so they needed a good clean – that was today’s job.
The box mostly contains Little Golden Books that once belong to my older cousins on mum’s side of the family. They grew up with my mum in her house as a child, with my nan and par (mum’s parents) raising them. The books were actually second hand at that point as well, so Addison will be the fourth (that I know of) owner.
They are not all in the best condition and some of the books have scribble in them, but I have done my best to clean them up. I’ve also used white out where the names of the owners were written in the front of the books.
To make them look a little nicer I have designed and bought some name labels via Vistaprint. They should arrive in a few weeks time. I think they are very cute, and match the theme for Addison’s room: Birdies, Owls and Nature.
