I was having a little looksie at the cushi tushie nappies website today and saw that they had some specials on some of their discontinued basix colours. In fact they were half price when purchasing two or more! This is a fantastic saving on this wonderful product and considering that I planned to buy these eventually anyway I could not walk past this massive saving.
It does however mean being limited to only a couple of colours, but considering they will be under Addi’s clothes anyway I figured what difference does it make. All that matters is they are the best for him and easy for me.
I was originally planning to buy what they call the half timer bulk pack which includes a total of 13 nappies, one night booster and some foaming wash which retails for $413.00. This is only about one days worth of changes, so for the rest of the time I had planned to just use the old style flat terry towel nappies with covers. However at these prices and working on not wanting to spend over $400.00 I worked out that I could afford to buy 24 of the discontinued basix nappies along with 3 night boosters and still afford to get my wet bag. This is so much more than I expected to be able to afford so I’m totally over the moon.
It may seem like a lot of money up front to spend on nappies however after much research modern cloth nappies are certainly the way to go as disposables can cost a parent anywhere from $3000.00 to $5000.00 from newborn to toddler. Also considering these MCN are suitable for the entire time as they have lots of clips to alter sizing they savings will be wonderful!
So I have ordered 8x Sunset Orange, 8x Midnight Black and 8x Chocolate Basix Cushie Tushies plus the cool dude wetbag and extra night boosters. And as Charles said, let’s put some cush on Addi’s tush! I can’t wait for them to arrive
