With the Big W and Kmart toy sales on at the moment, I like many others decided to do some toy shopping. While most people are usually shopping for their Christmas gifts for the kids to put away I was more looking for Addi’s birthday present and a couple things for now. I will probably see what is in the Target toy sales in a couple weeks time perhaps for Addi’s Christmas presents.
Something that I wasn’t planning on buying was a leapfrog Scout dog. I had been looking at the different learning toys available and most of them were just squeeze the hand and the toys says hand, etc. But I read and had a little play with the leapfrog dog named Scout and found that you could actually personalise him to say your child’s name and pick what songs to play!!
I don’t think that people would really know how great this dog is and how much he does unless you had a friend with one. In the shops you don’t get the true idea of how much he does. I love it!! I bought him for Addi, plugged him into my laptop to personalise. It was great, I found Addison in the list of names, added blue as Addi’s favourite colour, cat as his favourite animal and custard as his favourite food. When you press his paw he says things like “I love you Addison” and “my favourite food is custard, is that your favourite too?” and even sings songs with Addison’s name.
Addi really loves grooving to the songs and really lights up when he hears his name. I think this is a toy that is going to really grow with Addi and will just get better and better as Addi gets older.
