This year for Preston’s birthday I decided to make a train cake since we would be taking him to the Ipswich Railway Workshop for a special birthday outing. I had taken cupcakes with us on the day to share with Gran and Grandad at the trains, however I saved this cake for home (for obvious transportation reasons!!) to share with Nanny and Poppy. This has to be one of the easiest cakes I’ve ever made! Why, because there was no baking!! It was all assembled using store bought sponge rolls and other lollies to decorate.
I came across the idea on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for his birthday cake. Plus I was just about all baked out from the other cakes and cupcakes I’d been making in the past 3 weeks for the boys birthdays.
