Tonight I finished putting the last touches on a beautiful Lissylane Felt and Button Flower centerpiece I made especially for my baby boy.

I wanted to make a baby bouquet for my baby right from when I first knew I was expecting, however I wanted to wait to find out if I was having a boy or girl.

Finally I got to work and made all the flowers in pretty baby blue, white and polka-dot felts. There are a mixture of novelty blue and white buttons plus some normal blue buttons to make up the flowers.

Another difference to these felt flowers is the arrangement; instead of arrange the flowers as a typical bouquet, I decided to put them as a center piece in a cute blue watering can. This way they can be used at both the baby shower as a decoration and on display in Addison’s bedroom.

I also tried a different way of making flowers, adding some felt flowers with no stitching but with petals pulled together in alternating coloured layers of felt – in my opinion they look great and are very quick to make! It is all finished with a blue “It’s A Boy” ribbon tied in a bow around the watering can.
