So we got up bright and early (well, early for me) for our 8.10 am appointment with our obstetrician at Pindara Place today. These appointments really are very standard, the doctor basically checks to see if I have been having any problems during my pregnancy and answers any questions I might have. He also checks my blood pressure and then checks to see that the baby is OK.
Yet again my blood pressure was good at 125/70, only a slight change from the last times but still perfectly fine.
Our doctor also asked us today about our next appointment with the Queensland Ultrasound for Women 20 week scans and if we wanted to know the sex of the baby. Which as you all know we do and are counting down the days until we find out (19 days to go). So he said he could have a little bit of a look for us on his equipment, but didn’t like the chances of being able to tell us for sure at all due to the quality of image.
He had a look, the baby was all fine and having a great old time in there moving around, which didn’t really help our chances of seeing anything for sure. The doctor did however think that he saw some boy bits, although at this stage using his equipment there was no way that he would be anywhere near sure enough to say one way or another. So who knows! We MIGHT be having a boy, but I’m not going to be convinced until I see the ultrasound scans for sure in a couple of weeks.
