On the weekend we had a visit from Charles’ mum and dad (soon to be Gran and Granddad). Over the last few weeks I’ve been slowly working on making some little felt owls in my spare time to use as part of a mosquito net and owl mobile combination for above the cot. As part of this I have been getting some family members to make an owl to add to the mobile. This weekend was Grans turn! She made this cute little sleepy owl on the weekend:
So far I have made two owls myself – the pink and purple, Charles (daddy) has made 1 and a half – the pale blue and a green still in the making and of course there is the finished teal/blue felt owl from Gran. I intend to get my mum to make a felt owl in the colours of her choice as well and maybe (if he’s keen) my dad too, but you know what men are like with crafty things hehe. I will let you know later down the track how I have made these cute little owls and share my pattern with you all. They are very simple and fun to make, I’m sure everyone will have as much fun as I have!
I was searching online for an owl mobile and came across your blog. What pattern did you use for the felt owls? I think they are fantastic and would love to do something similar for our baby. I’d appreciate your help.

Hi Paige, glad you like the owls. I made the pattern myself and it can be found on the website here: http://www.pregnancybabychild.com/about/free-downloads/patterns/ along with many other crafts I have made. Hope you enjoy making them!!
