It was Poppy’s birthday today so we decided that we would stay and have a special dinner with Nanny and Poppy. While we were at the shops we bought a cake to celebrate. When we got back to Nanny and Poppy’s house you helped Nanny put the candles on the cake while I was in trying to get Preston to go to sleep. When Poppy got home you greeted him with an excited hello. I was still in the bedroom with Preston but could hear you talking to Poppy. Next thing I hear is you telling him about the cake!!! The cake that was supposed to be a surprise. I couldn’t help but laugh as you told him all about the cake, and the candles…how many you had put on it and what colours they were. Poppy just laughed saying “Addi, I think it was supposed to be a surprise.” Later you helped him blow out the candles on his birthday cake after we put the “fire” on them, as you called it.
